Signed a Letter of Intent for Cooperation with LG Innotek in Fostering Digital New Technology Talent

Daegu University signed a letter of intent on June 27, 2023, for mutual exchange and cooperation with LG Innotek (CEO Jeong Chul-dong) to foster digital new technology talent.
The signing ceremony was held through a real-time online videoconferencing system in consideration of the busy schedule and physical distance of the participants.
The event was attended by Daegu University President Park Soon Jin, LG Innotek CEO Jeong Chul-dong, executives and employees, and Daegu University's Next-generation Semiconductor Project Lead Professor Kim Kyung-gi.
Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate on fostering digital new technology talent, exchanging information and human resources in the development of next-generation semiconductor packaging curriculum, advising on various technical matters through industry-academic cooperation, and supporting employment and start-up activities.
Professor Kim Kyung-gi, Daegu University's next-generation semiconductor project lead (Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering) said, "We are happy to cooperate with global companies such as LG Innotek now that the importance of semiconductor post-process technology is increasing." He then added, “We will create momentum for fostering digital new technology talent.”
LG Innotek was established in 1970 and is Korea’s first comprehensive electronics component company. It supplies core materials and parts for mobiles, semiconductors, displays, automobiles, and IoT to global customers.
This company operates a semiconductor substrate manufacturing plant in Gumi-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and is expected to be of great help in fostering semiconductor professionals through industry-academic cooperation with local universities.
