Training Program for Korean Language Teachers

From 2009, Daegu University invites Korean language teachers from its overseas sister universities for two weeks from the end of July during summer vacation every year and implements the Korean Language Teacher Training Program for them in order to strengthen exchange and cooperation relationships with international organizations in the field of Korean language education.

The training program is comprised of various curricula such as theoretical lectures on Korean Language teaching methodology, understanding of Korean culture, Korean language education status, etc., methodology lectures, actual teaching and meetings on methodology, forums, demonstration lectures, class observation, and culture experience activities.

The significance of this program lies on having participating teachers acquire professional knowledge about Korean language education through this Korean Language Teacher Training Program. It strengthens their capability as a teacher and furthermore contributes to the expansion of Korean language distribution in their local areas.
